Using Sony's PS3 Repair Service

I've heard several good comments about Sony's PS3 repair service. The service can take up to 10-14 days before you have your repaired Playstation, but at least the service is quality work. From some people I've learned that the cost can be more than what they are willing to pay. So another idea is to purchase a refurbished Playstation rather than pay for the repairs of their own PS3. That is one option but another includes doing it yourself. Most gamers have a pretty good knowledge of mechanics and computers. There are several do-it-yourself videos you can find online that will teach the basics if you don't have the strength to do it yourself.
